FLOOD PREPARATION
Canstar Restoration takes very
seriously our responsibility to our communities and we have been
supporting Fire & Life Safety in conjunction with the local
Fire Departments since 1985! With the potential flooding drawing
ever closer, we are fully committed to preparation and education.
If you know anyone affected by the potential flooding in the Fraser
Valley, please let them know that we have special equipment to
dry out their structure fast and avoid secondary issues such as
mold growth. We were involved with FEMA and the New Orleans situation
and the biggest issue there was the buildings sat wet for far
too long causing monumental secondary issues with bacteria and
unsalvageable materials in addition to the catastrophic water
loss.

We are urging people, whether they have
confirmed insurance coverage or not, to simply call us and let
us help them decide what the best ‘next’ move is,
and advise them how to get their building or home dry fast and
worry about all the other details when things settle down.
If you were able to send this message out to your
family, friends and associates you would be doing them a great
service.
Even though some homes are not in close proximity
to a flood plain, sewage back-ups are common due to the back-up
of water in the main system.
People need to know that the bacteria in sewage such
as this is not just a simple toilet overflow, this sewage is ‘neighborhood’
sewage and carries biological hazards that the homeowner needs
to avoid.
Thanks for considering our comments and hopefully
you and your loved ones are not at risk.
